"The heart of a Village lives within the people. The idea of a Village is one of solidarity, culture, strength, leadership, creativity, and unity in diversity. It is a place where purpose is established, relationships are strengthened, creativity is nurtured, and identity is reinforced".
The Immigrant and Refugee Resource Village of Albuquerque aims to provide a safety net for immigrants and refugees, their families and their existing and/or emerging organizations. In order to enhance the quality of life of these communities the Village will implement a multi-dimensional approach utilizing the following strategies:
- Bridge gaps in services;
- Build Capacity for organizations;
- Network to find solutions;
- Provide direct and referral services.
- Advocate with and for people served.
