MESILLA HOUSE

The new home of Immigrant and Refugee Immigrant Resource Village of Albuquerque (aka IRRVA) 120 – 122 Mesilla St. NE

 

PLAN TO COME TO THIS SPECIAL EVENT THAT WE HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR ALL THIS YEAR

OCTOBER 20th, 2019, FROM 3:00PM TO 6:00PM

Under IRRVA’s New Mexico Women’s Global Project, the following projects are offered:

 

1. Vocational Skills Training via a Microenterprise business including sewing, beading, creating ethnic fashions and accessories. Also, sales events/fashion shows that enable the crafters to sell their products. Trains food stamps and TANF recipients in vocational skills/community services in exchange for food stamps and money since 2009.

2. Free Early Childhood Program 2x week for the children of parents involved in sewing/beading Micro enterprise.

3. ESL (English as a second language) Training for adults. 1on1or small group instruction by trained instructors.

4. Vegetables Gardens where families grow food for own consumption and plan to sell to generate income, in the near future. This also provides job training, leadership opportunities and socializing opportunities for IRRVA community members.
